McArthur Group's nest boxes are famous for their durability. They will last at least 20–25 years and are readily adopted by birds. Our nest boxes have been developed in close collaboration with leading ornithologists, nature conservation organisations, Government conservation agencies and forestry experts, and are backed up by decades of experience and knowledge.

The products we have selected have been developed using the latest thinking from the UK's leading wildlife experts, and are designed to provide good homes for their intended occupants and also to look great anywhere. They are intended for people from all walks of life who care about wildlife, these particular products are often specified and used by conservation professionals and organisations.

Only top quality materials are used to create boxes that will prove long lasting and good value.

Bird Boxes

All are manufactured in exterior grade plywood to reduce warping or cracking and are finished with a non-toxic water based preservative. They have drainage holes in the floor.

Small Bird Box

Robin Nest Box
Size: H 30, W 13 x D 15cm
Conforms fully with RSPB specs. This box is also suitable for Wagtails, Flycatchers, and Blackbirds.

Sparrow Nest Box

Slide out floor for easy box cleaning ventilation and drainage. Well insulated. For house and tree Sparrows.

Owl Boxes

Our own box range has been designed with the advice and guidance of ornithologists and conservationists specialising in British Owls. Our boxes will provide safe and secure nest sites. These boxes are handmade to cope with the best and worst weather.

Barn Owl Nest Box
Size: H 73 x W 62 x D 34cm
Sturdy front platform for owlets to exercise. Drained floor. Generous weather canopy. Can be placed internally or externally. Double inspection hatch and canopy protecting hole and landing platform.

Little Owl Nest Box
Size: H 52 x W 21 x D 19cm
Convenient access for cleaning etc., with a hinged roof and flip over latch lock. Exterior quality resin bonded ply, finished with non toxic water repellent finish.

Bat & Hedgehog Boxes

These boxes have been designed to warm up faster and stay warmer longer than many other types of Bat box.

Suitable for British cavity dwelling bats. Apex roof with good holds on inside, enabling bats to cluster

Double Crevice Bat Box
Size: H 3, W 16 x D 10cm
Suitable for the small British crevice dwelling bat, which accounts for 3/4 of the UK bat population.

Treble Crevice Bat Box
Size: H 33, W 16 x D 13cm
Suitable for the small British crevice dwelling bat. There are 3 crevices internally.

Hedgehog Nest Box

Designed and tested by the Hedgehog Preservation Society. Removable roof. Safe nesting area. Drainage Holes.
