Anyone who has lived through a heavy snowfall and had to shovel their own driveway knows how much trouble thick snow and ice can cause. Tools which help clear snow are very useful if you want to make it through winter. One of the most useful of these tools is rock salt. Rock salt, also known as Halite, is the mineral form of sodium chloride. Rock salt lowers the melting temperature of water and can help clear snow and ice.

McArthur Rock Salt is used both residentially and municipally for managing ice. Because brine (a solution of water and salt) has a lower freezing point than pure water, putting salt on ice will cause it to melt.

McArthur supply Rock Salt in 25kg bags, and in pallet quantities of 49.

Snow Shovels

With a capacity of 36.5kg and a handle bar mounted for adjustable flow control you achieve a wide spreading throw, delivering both economy and speed. THe spreader is supplied with pneumatic wheels for easy use over rough ground and icy surfaces.
