Abrasive Blasting

Abrasive shot blasting is a method of removing old finishes or corrosion leaving the shot blasted surface clean ready for an application a new painted/galvanised finish. Shot blasting is normally undertaken to remove something on the surface like scale, paint or rust etc. The Abrasive blasting process can use many types of media in order to clean the surface of an object.

Shot Blasting Process

Shot blasting is a process in which an abrasive material is forced through a jet nozzle using compressed air pressure. This creates a fast & effective way of cleaning or preparing surfaces for recoating using many different material types. Shot blasting is the perfect preparatory operation for achieving the best surface adhesion for your paint system.

Minute abrasive particles are fired under total visual control of your component - gently etching away any surface contaminants.
